Important Standard Solutions Information
It is with sadness and regret that
we must inform you, our valued client, of a difficult decision we
have had to make
concerning our business relationship. Effective December 31, 2016,
Standard Solutions, Inc. will cease operating its title and closing software business.
Because industry needs and market conditions have changed, we have decided it does not
make economic sense to continue to add to the Standard Conveyancer platform.
Starting in January, all Standard
Conveyancer support will be handled by Standard Support, a new entity formed
to carry out the support functions of Standard Solutions. Your primary Support
connection will be Ken Foster, who has worked with Standard
Conveyancer users for over 17 years.
Maintenance & Support Plan billings
for January onward will be carried out directly by Standard
Support.
You will be able to keep using your
Standard Conveyancer program the way you do now. This will be a seamless transition,
and in January you will have the same service options, including telephone,
e-mail and remote support. You will receive further details, including new contact
information, in a follow-up message.
If you have any immediate questions please
reply to this e-mail
and let us call you, rather than you calling us, as we will be short-staffed
on the telephones through the Thanksgiving holiday.
Thank you for choosing Standard
Conveyancer Closing Center. Your loyalty means the world to us, and has contributed
to our having been able to provide the highest quality of customer
and technical support
for so long. As always, we wish you continued success.
No 1099-S Year-End Processing Service This Year
Standard Solutions will
unfortunately not
be able to offer Year-End Processing for tax year 2016 electronic filing.
The software we used to process
1099-S
filings is no longer available. We have been looking for a suitable substitute for over a year. The software we
used for 2015 allowed us to get by, but was not really an adequate solution. Because of this we have been forced
to discontinue the service.
You have several options going forward.
Firms with a smaller amounts of 1099s to file can do a manual filing using pre-printed forms from the IRS. (You cannot
use forms you print yourself because Copy A must be in the original RED ink as printed by the IRS.) Firms with larger
amounts of closings often have their accountants do their filings. Finally, there is software
available that you can use yourself to do your own electronic filing.
Please
let us know if we can provide further information or help you sort out your options.

Our office will be closed Thursday and Friday
for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Our technical
support
staffing calendar has been updated through 2016. As in the
past, emergency service is not available on certain holidays.
Did you know?
You can use a
key combination to enlarge or shrink the text size on your CD
screens. “Ctrl +” will enlarge the text and "Ctrl –" will shrink
it. The size changes about 25% at a time, so you should be able
to find a size that looks good on your monitor.
In the main
program screens (the ones that pre-date the CD), use the font
size setting on the tool bar. We’ve found that it works best to
keep it set between 10 and 14.
